Kisha Hambrick

General Manager, 30th Street, Hutchinson

If you know Kisha Hambrick, you know she’s a little “extra.” It may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but it’s honestly what makes her a great General Manager. Her determination allows her to build her team and make McDonald’s successful. Kisha wants people like their jobs.

A lot of Kisha’s personality is apparent visually, but you may not know that this young, hip woman is actually a grandma! She has three kids and three grandchildren. Before working for McDonald’s, Kisha worked as a full-time mom. She started at McDonald’s on March 30, 2011 and became a General Manager on June 18, 2014.

“My general manager became a supervisor, and they moved another general manager in from another location and but with the NJCAA tournament, it was difficult for one person to do alone. So I said, ‘I can do it,’ and I did,” Kisha said. “Being a General Manager is very demanding and you have to learn your way.”

What drives Kisha every day is her team. When Kisha took over at 30th street, she built her team and hasn’t stopped.

“My team is why I love coming to work. I love to teach them, and the more I can teach them every day, the better it is,” Kisha said. “I am here for them.”

Kisha knows that her team understands how much she cares for them.

“If you focus on building your team and they see that your focus is on them, they are going to care about you,” Kisha said. “One of my proudest moments was training Stefani. It was a shining moment for me when they actually saw the work that I had put in with Stefani and they believed in her enough to put her in that position and I still coach her every day,” Kisha said.

When Kisha isn’t working she spends time with her children and grandchildren. One of her children is a soldier in the Navy, another is a senior in college, and her son recently joined the police academy.
